Community Safety

Last updated July 2026

Assembly Wave is built for communities, and communities only thrive when people feel safe. Here’s how we help you stay in control of who can reach you and what you see — and how to report anything that doesn’t belong.

You control who can reach you

In your profile’s privacy settings you decide who can follow you, request to connect, message you, and call you. Private messages and calls always require a mutual connection, so no one can DM or call you out of the blue.

Block and mute

You can mute someone to quietly stop seeing their posts, or blockthem to cut off contact entirely. Blocking is immediate and private — the other person isn’t notified.

Report content or people

Every post and message has a Report option. Reports go to a moderation queue where our team and community leaders review them. We use a mix of human review and AI triage to prioritize the most serious reports quickly.

Moderation and enforcement

Community leaders can remove content and members within their own communities. At the platform level, accounts that violate our rules can be warned, suspended, or banned. If your account is restricted, you can appeal the decision.

Your data stays yours

Conversations stay within your communities and connections. For more on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
